It’s our duty to provide markets that command liquidity for our users – and at times, that means we need to allow certain contracts to expire or settle early.
Sunsetting Details
We will sunset the BCH, EOS, LTC, TRX Linear Futures, and XBTEUR Inverse Futures after the regular December expiry at 12:00 UTC on 31 December 2021. This means there will not be a H22 Futures contract listed on the BCHXBT, EOSXBT, LTCXBT, TRXXBT and XBTEUR pairs.
The BCHZ21, EOSZ21, LTCZ21, TRXZ21 and XBTEURZ21 Futures contracts will be available for trading until the regular December expiry and will settle on the 30M settlement index at that time.
Early Settlement Details
We will conduct early settlement of the current ALTMEXUSD and DEFIMEXUSD Perpetuals on 15 December 2021 at 12:00 UTC. Early settlement will occur on Testnet 24 hours before it occurs on the mainnet so that our users can see how the delisting process works.
On 15 December 2021 at 12:00 UTC, the ALTMEXUSD and DEFIMEXUSD Perpetual Swaps will be settled against the corresponding 30M settlement index, following the Perpetual Swaps Early Settlement Process described here in the BitMEX Exchange Guide.
There will be no exchange of funding payments and no fees for settlement at the early settlement funding timestamp of 15 December 2021 at 12:00 UTC. Users should adjust their positions accordingly before the early settlement timestamp if they want to manually close their exposure.
