BitMEX is pleased to announce two new Binary Futures, expiring Dec 31, 2017 at 12:00 UTC:
B_SEGWITZ17: A prediction future on whether BIP141, also known as Segregated Witness, will be activated by the expiry date.- B_BLOCKSZ17: A prediction future on whether or not blocks of a size larger than 1MB will be mined on the majority chain, and that chain remains the majority chain for 75% of the next 2016 blocks before the expiry date.
BitMEX believes that the clear nature of these contracts make them ideal for speculating on the future of Bitcoin. Many in the community agree that at least one of these two improvements are necessary for the future of Bitcoin. Whichever name these improvements will have, the new B_ contracts will be useful for Bitcoin users.
