In Q4 2023, we replaced all customers’ deposit addresses to improve the use of Bitcoin block space. You can find the announcement here.
This time around, we will now transfer the remaining Bitcoin from our legacy addresses (3BMEX…) which comprises the BitMEX Insurance Fund, to new Bitcoin wallets. Please note that the transactions will have no impact on the total balance across the Insurance Fund or on any user trading activities, positions, deposit or withdrawal frequencies.
This announcement is to provide users with full transparency and to avoid any misunderstanding or false reporting by third parties.
