We are making a change to our WebSocket API by adding a column feeType in the websocket execution topic.
The change will be deployed to Testnet on: 15 Jan 2024, between 03:00 – 06:00 UTC. It will be deployed to Production on: 30 Jan 2024, between 03:00 – 06:00 UTC.
What is Changing:
We are adding a column feeType to the following topic: execution. The column feeType will contain the following values:
feeType |
Information provided |
Maker or Taker |
Deliberate order execution (e.g. buy or sell), automatic deleverage or liquidation and any events where liquidity is added or removed from the orderbook |
Settlement |
Close position execution for settlement of futures contracts |
Funding |
Funding execution of perpetual contracts |
What Should I Change?
This change impacts all clients subscribing to the websocket execution topic. The field feeType will automatically be included in the execution message. Clients may choose to handle the new column feeType or ignore the field upon receiving.
Why Are We Implementing This Change?
The introduction of the feeType column will help traders to identify the explicit type of fee incurred on trades
