In order to simplify how funding rates are calculated, we will be removing the Lending Rate Indices from the platform. Instead, the rates used in the calculation will be available in two new columns in the instrument table: fundingBaseRate and fundingQuoteRate. These will provide the lending rates for the base and quote currencies respectively of the perpetual swap. There will be no change in the final funding rate calculated with this change.
The changes will be available in Production from 1 Nov 2024. The existing Lending Rate Indices will be published in parallel until further notice.
