REST API Update: Rejecting qty amend up on already filled GTC/DAY orders

To enhance your trading experience, we are implementing a mandatory change to our REST API. You can find the details below.

The change will be accessible in Testnet starting from 25 September 2023, at 04:00 UTC, and in Production from 28 September 2023, at 04:00 UTC.

What is Changing?

The exchange will reject any request for amend qty up on an already filled GTC/DAY order with the text “Invalid orderID”

If your order fills while an amend order request is in flight, and you wish to have more exposure on the contract, a newOrder request for the additional amount must be submitted.

What Should I Change?

If your amend order request fails due to “Invalid orderID” then send a new order request for the remaining qty.

Why are we implementing this change?

Keeping already filled orders in the system puts unnecessary load onto the trading engine which results in latency spikes for all clients. To be able to provide a best in class trading experience to all of our customers we are removing this complexity.
