We’re well within week 3 of the BitMEX Trading Challenge and we’ve seen some incredible action, especially on Monday afternoon UTC when we saw an unprecedented 2,555,232 contracts traded in only one hour!
We’re nearing the end of the challenge, and we like to keep things exciting. So we’re announcing:
Lower Margin Requirements
For the last weeks of the Trading Challenge, we are lowering initial margin / maintenance margin requirements to 20%/10% (from 30%/20%), starting Wednesday, August 19 at 12:00 UTC. This will allow you to further increase your leverage and make this week’s price swings work for you. Be careful; margin calls are even more dangerous now.
Note that we will continue to use 30%/20% requirements when we are running with real XBT. This is a test-only mode, so make the most of it.
Charting Updates
We’ve heard you on the charts, and they’ve gotten better. You now have access to view 30 second buckets at absolutely any point in time since the beginning of the challenge. The easiest way to do so is to increase your overall view scope by dragging the handles on the bottom of the chart, then click-dragging inside the chart to zoom. You can continue to click-drag-release on the chart to zoom further.
